All high quality beauty shears and thinners are sharpened using the Hamaguri Flat Hone and Japanese wet stones. Specific precision machinery and angle alignment will return shears to their original beveled or convex edge.

Shears are initially inspected, disassembled and cleaned. The edges and ride line are re-sharpened to factory specifications. After honing and polishing the edges with Japanese wet stones to a high luster and smoothness, the blades are reassembled. The shears then go through a triple test cutting procedure, balanced, oiled and tension adjusted. Bump stoppers, screws and washers are replaced (if necessary). Corrugation is available on request.
